SC CIC Recognizes Cybersecurity Awareness Month with Digital Security Trainings

To help raise awareness around digital resource networks and promote Cybersecurity Awareness Month, South Carolina Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity (SC CIC) organized several events that provided cyber-related training to South Carolina’s critical infrastructure sectors:

• Training SC CIC participants on building an informative and engaging security awareness program within their workplace.

• Hosting a ‘Capture the Flag’ educational exercise. This allowed participants to explore or “ flag” potential cyber threats and system vulnerabilities in a safe, virtual environment.

• Presenting at member organizations and conferences on cybersecurity best practices and cyber threats in South Carolina.

 

The mission of SC CIC is to provide critical services and disseminate cybersecurity threat intelligence to help prevent and respond to cyber incidents that could impact South Carolina’s critical infrastructure.
