SLED charges 17-year-old with 5 counts of Attempted Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Pistol, and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Robert Jermaine McBride, 17, with Attempted Murder, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. McBride was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Pistol, 4 counts of Attempted Murder, and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

McBride was booked at the Aiken County Detention Center. SLED was requested on October 28, 2022, by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office to investigate an officer involved shooting.
The case will be prosecuted by the 2nd Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
