SLED Charges Aiken County Woman with Insurance Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Dearra Lashay Griffin, 39, with Presenting a False Claim for Insurance Payment – Value $10,000 or More on Monday, December 8, 2025. The SLED investigation was requested by the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Griffin was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
