SLED Charges Allendale County Woman with Insurance Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Malik Javerite Morrell, 30, with Forgery - less than $10,000 and Presenting a False Claim for Insurance Payment - more than $2,000 but less than $10,000 on Monday, May 19, 2025. The South Carolina Department of Insurance requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Morrell was booked into the Allendale County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
