The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Shirl Lee Sweeney, 50, with Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
The SLED Special Victims Unit (SVU) investigation was requested by the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Sweeney was booked into the Charleston County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
