SLED Charges Cherokee County Man with Accessory After the Fact to Murder

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Reginald Louis Barnes Sr., 59, with Accessory After the Fact to Murder on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The Gaffney Police Department requested SLED assist in the investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Barnes Sr. was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 7th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
