SLED Charges Cherokee County Man with Obtaining Property under False Pretenses

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged William Christopher Jackson, 42, with Obtaining Property Under False Pretenses – value more than $2,000 but less than $10,000 on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Jackson was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 7th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
