SLED Charges Chester County Man with Dogfighting and Other Crimes

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Justin Elazer King, 31, with three counts of Ill Treatment of Animals, four counts of Animal Fighting or Baiting, Criminal Conspiracy, Illegal Sale of a Controlled Substance, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana - 1st offense - on Friday, January 9, 2026. The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office assisted in the arrest.

Details can be found in the attached warrants.

King was booked into the Chester County Detention Center.

The case will be prosecuted by the 6th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

King was previously arrested for Ill Treatment of Animals on December 12, 2025. The additional charges above are in connection with SLED's ongoing investigation.
