SLED Charges Dorchester County Woman with Lottery Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Mae Chanity Thomas, 22, with Intent to Defraud, Counterfeit Game Tickets on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. The South Carolina Education Lottery requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Thomas was booked into the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center in Charleston County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
