SLED Charges Florence County Man with Pointing and Presenting Firearms at a Person

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Tony Lawayne Planter, 61, with two counts of Pointing and Presenting Firearms at a Person on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The Florence County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Planter was booked into the Florence County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 12th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
