SLED charges former Hampton County deputy with misconduct in office, assault & battery 1st degree

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Donavon Quentin Sanders, 27, with Misconduct in Office, and Assault & Battery 1st degree on Friday, January 3, 2025. The SLED investigation was requested by the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Sanders was booked into the Hampton Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the Public Integrity Unit.
