SLED Charges Richland County Man with Assault & Battery

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Ralph Eugene Baker, 71, with Assault & Battery – 2nd Degree on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The Town of Lexington Police Department requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Baker was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
