SLED Charges Spartanburg County Man with Lottery Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged John Wesly Lipscomb Jr., 57, with two counts of Intent to Defraud, Counterfeit Game Tickets on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. The South Carolina Education Lottery requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Lipscomb Jr. was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
