SLED Charges Spartanburg County Woman with Insurance Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Trevon Rena Dawson, 49, with Presenting a False Claim for Insurance Payment – Value More Than $2,000 but Less Than $10,000, Forgery – Value Less Than $10,000, and Forgery – No Dollar Amount Involved on Friday, October 16, 2026. The South Carolina Department of Insurance requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Dawson was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
