SLED charges Spartanburg County woman with lottery fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Ramilabahen S. Patel, 44, with Attempting to Influence a Game by Coercion, by Tampering with Lottery Tickets on February 20, 2025. The SLED investigation was requested by the South Carolina Education Lottery.

Details can be found in the attached warrant.

Patel was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center.

The case will be prosecuted by the 7th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
