SLED charges Sumter County man with involuntary manslaughter

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Xavier Daichaun Bennett, 23, with Involuntary Manslaughter on Friday, December 13, 2024. SLED was requested by the Sumter Police Department.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Bennett was booked into the Sumter County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 3rd Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
