SLED Charges Two Chesterfield County Woman with Lottery Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Darlene F. Helms, 67, with Intent to Defraud, Counterfeit Game Tickets on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

SLED also charged Yoisha Renee Merrell Chambers, 47, with Intent to Defraud, Counterfeit Game Tickets on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

The South Carolina Education Lottery requested the SLED investigation.

Details can be found in the attached warrants. 

Helms and Merrell Chambers were booked into the Chesterfield County Detention Center.

The case will be prosecuted by the 4th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
