SLED Charges Two Horry County Women with Human Trafficking of Minors and Criminal Conspiracy

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged both Margaret Louise Roberson, 56, and Camisha Marie Mcgaskey, 31, with five counts each of Trafficking in Persons - Victim Under 18 Years of Age - 1st Offense and Criminal Conspiracy on Monday, July 28, 2025. The investigation found that the victims were subjected to forced labor, which included providing cleaning services at various locations. This was a joint investigation with SLED, the Horry County Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Both Roberson and Mcgaskey were booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s office.
