SLED Charges Two Men with Conspiracy to Commit Lottery Fraud in Ongoing Investigation

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Malachi Jamal Quesenberry, 24, with Conspiracy to Commit Lottery Fraud on Monday, June 15, 2026. The South Carolina Education Lottery requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Quesenberry was booked into the Dorchester County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 1st Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
Trae Malik Yates, 31, was arrested and charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Lottery Fraud on June 2, 2026, in connection with this investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Yates was booked into the Dorchester County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 1st Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
