SLED Charges Union County Man with Falsely Representing Himself as an Insurance Agent

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Jhakia Sharvae Cureton, 28, with Falsely Representing Himself as an Insurance Agent on Thursday, October 9, 2025. The South Carolina Department of Insurance requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Cureton was booked into the Union County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
