SLED looking for new information in old case to help solve deadly shooting

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is asking anyone with information, which may assist in solving a 1998 fatal shooting in Orangeburg, SC.
The incident occurred the evening of September 18, 1998, at Club Maliks, located at 3075 Magnolia Street in Orangeburg, SC. Following an altercation inside the club, a fight broke out in the parking lot, and two men were shot. The Orangeburg County coroner identified the deceased as William Halyard, 23, and Jonathan Simpkins, 21. Both Halyard and Simpkins had fatal gunshot wounds. Two other people were injured during the shooting. The SLED investigation was requested by the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office. The photos below were provided by the families of the deceased.
