SLED charges Anderson County man with assault & battery of a high & aggravated nature, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent felony

Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Charles Bernard Norris, 59, on Saturday, December 30, 2023, with Assault & Battery of a High & Aggravated Nature, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of a Violent Felony. SLED was requested to investigate by the Belton Police Department.

Norris was booked at the Anderson County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
