SLED Charges Darlington County Man with Animal Fighting and Ill Treatment of Animals

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Michealus Antoine Jackson, 36, with Animal Fighting or Baiting and Ill Treatment of Animals on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Jackson was booked into the Darlington County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 4th Circuit Court Solicitor’s Office.
