SLED charges former Aiken department of public safety police officer for assault & battery 3rd degree

Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Ashton Myles Posey, 34, on Friday, February 2, 2024, with Assault & Battery 3rd degree. SLED was requested to investigate by the City of Aiken Department of Public Safety.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Posey was booked at the Aiken County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 2nd Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
