SLED charges former Horry police officer with alcohol sale violations

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Michael Deontric Stackhouse, 36, with Unlawful Sale of Alcoholic Liquors - 1st offense, Unlawful Storage or Possession of Liquor in a Place of Business, Failure to Secure Required Beer or Wine Sale Permit, and Sale of Beer without Payment of Tax on Monday, March 10, 2025. The SLED investigation was requested by the Horry County Police Department.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Stackhouse was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
