SLED charges former Kershaw County detention corrections officer with misconduct in office

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Kionte’ Willis Hayes, 24, with Misconduct in Office on Thursday, September 19, 2024. The SLED investigation was requested by the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Hayes was booked into the Kershaw County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
