SLED Charges Former South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles Employee with Embezzlement

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Jamesica Edwina Alford, 33, with Embezzlement of Public Funds – value less than $10,000 on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Alford was booked into the W. Glenn Cambell Detention Center in Darlington County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 4th Circuit Solicitors Office.
