SLED Charges Greenville County Detention Center Officer and Inmate with Criminal Conspiracy and Contraband inside a Jail

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Rendell Rashad Berry, 39, with Criminal Conspiracy and Furnishing Contraband to an Inmate at a County Jail on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Also on that day, SLED charged Shamaurie Nathaniel Olijahwan Mushande Robinson, 26, with Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of Contraband Inside a County Jail. The Greenville County Detention Center requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Both Berry and Robinson were booked into the Greenville County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office.
