SLED Charges Pickens County Man with Hit and Run and Pickens County Woman with Accessory After the Fact and Other Vehicle Crimes

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged George Devale McMullen, 42, with Hit and Run and two counts of Failure to Give Information and Render Aid, on Friday, March 6, 2026.
SLED also charged Cosha Mary Anne Benson, 35, with Accessory After the Fact to Felony F, Driving Under Suspension – 1st Offense, Uninsured Motor Vehicle Fee Violation – 1st Offense, and Failure to Return a License Plate and Registration Upon Loss of Insurance – 1st Offense on Friday March 6, 2026.
The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details for both can be found in the attached warrants.
Both McMullen and Benson were booked into the Pickens County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
