SLED Charges South Carolina Department of Corrections Inmate with Insurance Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Raymond Kennedy, 54, with Obtaining Property Under False Pretenses – Value More Than $2,000 but Less Than $10,000 and Forgery - Value Less Than $10,000 on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. The South Carolina Department of Insurance requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants regarding crimes committed in Greenwood County.
Kennedy was served at the Trenton Correctional Institution in Edgefield County, which is a South Carolina Department of Corrections facility. Kennedy is currently serving a sentence there on an unrelated charge.
This case is related to the arrest of Kimberly Denise Holloway, 65, who was charged with Insurance Fraud on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
