SLED Charges Subject in Anderson County Officer Involved Shooting with Attempted Murder and Other Crimes

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Brian Joseph Stoltie, 45, with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, and Failure to Stop for Blue Lights on Monday, March 16, 2026. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Stoltie was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center. He was transported back to the Greenville County Detention Center where he is being held on unrelated charges.
The case will be prosecuted by the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
