SLED Charges Two Mexican Foreign Nationals with Gun Possession and Forgery

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Luis Manuel Chavez Severiano, 48, with Possession of a Firearm by an Unlawful Alien and Forgery – no dollar amount on Friday, July 18, 2025. SLED also charged Maria Teresa Fajardo Noriega, 46, with Forgery - no dollar amount on July 18, 2025. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Severiano and Noriega were booked into the Jasper County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 14th Circuit Solicitors Office.
