SLED Charges York County Mother and Son with Ill Treatment of Animals and Other Crimes

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Thalia Lavonne Feemster, 67, with Conspiracy and Ill Treatment of Animals, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
SLED also charged Corey Hardin, 35, with 10 counts of Animal Fighting or Baiting, 10 counts of Ill Treatment of Animals, Conspiracy, and Possession of Firearms or Ammunition by Person Convicted of Certain Crimes - First Offense - on Friday, January 9, 2026.

Both Feemster and Hardin were booked into the Moss Justice Center in York County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 16th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
