SLED Joins Serve & Connect for Grand Opening of 'Greg’s Place'

Federal, state, and local government and law enforcement officials attended the Grand Opening of Greg’s Place in Columbia, SC.
Named in honor of Fallen Forest Acers Police Officer Greg Alia, organizers hope this new community center will help revitalize the surrounding neighborhoods.

Members of Greg Alia’s family attended today’s dedication, and offered stories, shared memories, and gave thanks to neighbors and local businesses that helped make the new center possible.
The building was formerly the Peterson Presbyterian Church.

SLED is proud to partner with Serve & Connect, a non-profit founded in Greg Alia’s memory, which fosters positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve in both North and South Carolina.
