SLED Participates in "Shop with a Cop" Event in Marion County

SLED Agents joined Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies to support the “Shop with a Cop” event at the Marion County Walmart on Friday, December 19.  

 

The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services, along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol were also available to help the 60 children shop for Christmas gifts. 

Other organizations such as the Dillon-Marion Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority shared in the kid’s enthusiasm, following them up and down each isle during the hour-long shopping spree.  

Approximately 40 law enforcement officers helped children from Marion County shop during this year’s event.
