The South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit program allows for all citizens of South Carolina the opportunity to apply for a permit to carry a weapon on their person concealed within the state of South Carolina where permissible.

South Carolina Code 23-31-210 requires the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to promulgate regulations containing general guideline for course and qualifications pertaining to the Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) program. Each CWP Instructor must meet the requirements in order to obtain a certification to teach in the CWP program.
